There has been a few inquiries about the 2010 pricing and the new category we've added. Yes, we have several bulls that are going to be world class next year possibly becoming the largest in the world. As you may know we consistently hunt 400+ bulls on this ranch with this years' largest in the 420's; however we are looking at bulls for next year much larger than that. Call today to set up your "World Record" elk hunt, the entire world may be watching.

There are a few spots left for the "End-of-year" elk hunts. We've begun the hunts now and are going to continue until early January; so be prepared for some of the most challenging and rewarding elk hunting you can think of.

The first snow fall has arrived. For those hunters scheduled to hunt in the coming months be sure to bring plenty of warm clothes. Elk hunting in the snow brings a different set of challenges and I promise you won't be disappointed in the experience. The skittish elk want to move further up into the back-country of the ranch, but the snow keeps them down a bit so they tend to hide more in the high trees. It gets very exciting.

We are also making plenty of hunts for the remaining elk on the ranch. Cows are a prime source of fantastic meat and we are hunting them at very low prices to thin out the herds for the winter. Call us today to schedule your "End-of-Year" hunt and enjoy prime, juicy meat all winter long.

Late Fall Hunting Now

Elk hunting in the late fall is for me the absolute best. The animals have been driven all over the ranch and it makes the hunts all-the-more tense and exciting. Plus we get the added benefit of cooler weather mixed with a little precipitation. For Star Mountain Ranch we have good hunting days left and are planning hunts well into December and possibly January. Don't forget to contact us about our "End-of-Year" hunts, where we offer very reduced rates for the remaining bulls on the ranch and even better rates on the remaining cows.
