Winter has hit with a vengeance and the ranch is covered with a deep blanket of snow. For the final hunts of the year, be sure to bring plenty of warm clothes and we'll have some walking to help keep us warm because most of the elk have gone into the back country. Elk hunting in these conditions is tough and rugged but the most enjoyable for myself.

I would like to thank all of our hunters and guides; Star Mountain Ranch had it's best year to date despite a rough economy. I am please to announce that we took more 400+ animals than in any other year, making this hunting ranch a truly world-class ranch. And for another year in a row we lost no animals keep our percentage at 100% success.

With only a few hunts left for the year, we are already in the process of filling the 2010 elk hunting spots as well as the Buffalo hunts and preparing the ranch for next year. For those hunters coming back please call asap to set up your second dream hunt. For those thinking about your first dream hunt, contact us and we'll give you all the information you need to get started.

Finally, for the hunters who have signed up for Cow hunts for this year we still have a few spots available and are offering packages to bring friends and family to take their own Cow.
