With winter fully settled in, Star Mountain Ranch is covered in a deep layer of snow. All the bulls have lost their antlers and most if not all the animals have come down from the upper mountains down to the valley. Watching them move around the lower part of the ranch I can't help but reflect back to the year but I won't bore you all with all the great hunting stories we had this year.

I will say that it was an incredible season; one that I will remember forever. My only consolation that it is over is that a new hunting season is rapidly approaching. We made some great friends and I expect will make many more in the 2010 elk hunting season as well as reconnect with past hunters who are returning for another hunt.

I hope everyone had a great 2009 and an even better 2010 and I can't wait to sit and talk after a successful days hunt.
